45305 Overhaul Update:Work continues on the overhaul of our flagship locomotive No. 45305 in January, with all the boiler cladding and lagging now removed. We are now in a position to inspect the boiler and clean and prep for a Boiler Inspector visit, to find out how much work is required.Further parts have been dismantled and cleaned for storage, while the locomotive's frames are cleaned and prepped for a fresh coat of undercoat, followed by painting. Great progress is being made so far and we are always looking for new volunteers to get involved and get stuck in!5305LA Sales Stand:Don't forget, this weekend the Great Central Railway are holding their Winter steam gala (26th-28th January) with visiting locomotives BR Standard Class No. 75069 and L & Y A Class No. 53233, bolstered by six home fleet locos, plus the NER Autocar and Derby Lightweight 'Iris'.
