The Quest for Sir Lamiel

Welcome to 5305 Locomotive Association’s dedicated website for N15 class 777 Sir Lamiel.

5305 Locomotive Association is pleased to announce that with the full backing of both the Great Central Railway and the Railway Museum, we are able to proceed with a full overhaul of 777 Sir Lamiel. The aim is to return Sir Lamiel to full mainline working condition. This will allow us to return Sir Lamiel to where she belongs.

To do this, we need your help!

All the different ways that you can help, along with the latest news and updates can be found here. If you would like to know more about 5305 Locomotive Association and the other locos in our care, please see our main website and Facebook page below.

This coming weekend, it's all change in Quorn Yard.

45305 is rostered to be on the service train, so will not be in Quorn Yard for cab access. However, you can go to Leicester and back with 45305 by booking on the Great Central Railway's main website.

Instead one of our diesels, Peak Class D123 will be on show instead.

Our stand and volunteers will be there as normal.
